After a Weekend Conference, 155 Men Sent Out to Conquer Porn

What happened at the first Conquer Leadership Conference?
More than 155 men gathered in Colorado Springs for three days of training on helping men find lasting freedom from porn and sexual sin. Some drove across the United States, one came from Alberta, and others flew in from Mexico and Australia. It sold out weeks early. Dr. Doug Weiss spoke, and Jeremy Wiles and his team at KingdomWorks Studios organized it. Attendees went home equipped.
More than 155 men met in Colorado Springs this past weekend to attend the inaugural Conquer Leadership Conference. They were gathering for training on how to help men find lasting freedom from pornography and sexual sin. Determined to make a difference in their churches and communities, some of the men drove across the US. One man drove from Alberta, Canada to take part in the Conquer Leadership Conference. Others flew in, some even travelling from Mexico and Australia to participate in this three day event. The event sold out several weeks before the conference with organizers rushing to add more seats to accommodate the demand. The conference featured Dr. Doug Weiss, world renowned author and psychologist in the area of sex addiction and intimacy anorexia. It was organized by Conquer Series film director, Jeremy Wiles and his team at KingdomWorks Studios. The Conquer Series is a powerful, cinematic small group study that is helping over 1 million men find lasting freedom from pornography.
The Beginning of a Movement
Initially released in 2014, the Conquer Series continues to be used by thousands of churches in more than 80 countries to help set men free and bring healing to their families. For many of the men attending the conference, the fight was personal. They had either struggled with pornography or knew someone who had. “I was overwhelmed by the number of attendees who told me how the Conquer Series had changed their life,” explained Wiles, who with his wife invested their savings and two years in creating the men’s curriculum. The conference was not only a time of training and equipping – but also a time to encourage these bold men. “These guys are standing in the gap for men and their families but often it is a thankless job,” explains Wiles. He continued,
“These men are not the guys that the church celebrates on a Sunday morning. They often have to plead with their pastors. Even when they are given permission to run a course like this at church, it’s usually relegated to the room in the far back corner of the church in the basement. But they are warriors bringing healing to families and we think that’s worth celebrating.”

Each attendee has headed back to their churches encouraged and empowered to make a difference. As one leader described,
“The Conquer Series Leadership Training was an exceptional time of inspiration, equipping, and refreshing in the middle of a very difficult ministry. KingdomWorks and Heart to Heart Counseling Center connected me to the prophetic purpose of this ministry – to restore the spiritual authority of the church. Well-done!”
“This conference put a “face” on the issue of sexual addiction. I interacted with men who are actively engaged in battling addiction and are serious about achieving victory. There was a unity of spirit and a shared goal that was perceptible. I left encouraged and focused on making a difference where God has planted me,” explained another attendee. What is the Conquer Series?
It is a cinematic small group study helping over a million men find lasting freedom from pornography. Initially released in 2014, it continues to be used by thousands of churches in more than 80 countries to set men free and bring healing to their families. It is built for a group setting, because this is not a struggle men win alone.
When was the Conquer Series released?
It was initially released in 2014 and has been in continuous use since, spreading to thousands of churches across more than 80 countries. The leadership conference described here was the first of its kind, held once the series had already reached enough churches that the leaders running it needed training and encouragement of their own.
Who created the Conquer Series?
Jeremy Wiles, the film's director, and his team at KingdomWorks Studios. He and his wife invested their savings and two years of their lives into building the curriculum. Of the men who came to the first Conquer Leadership Conference he said, "I was overwhelmed by the number of attendees who told me how the Conquer Series had changed their life." The same team organised that conference.
Why do men who lead porn recovery groups need support?
Because it is often a thankless job. Jeremy Wiles, who directed the Conquer Series, says, "These men are not the guys that the church celebrates on a Sunday morning. They often have to plead with their pastors. Even when they are given permission to run a course like this at church, it's usually relegated to the room in the far back corner of the church in the basement. But they are warriors bringing healing to families and we think that's worth celebrating."
How do I bring the Conquer Series to my church?
Start by learning what the series involves and what running it in your church actually requires, then take it to your pastor or men's ministry leader. Thousands of churches in more than 80 countries have already done it, so you are not asking anyone to pioneer something. Leaders can get trained too. One described the Conquer Leadership Training as "an exceptional time of inspiration, equipping, and refreshing in the middle of a very difficult ministry."

The question burning in your chest is why you were not enough. That question starts with a false premise.
